Her career spans media, philanthropy, and innovation, with a focus on connecting US and UK-based investors and donors to transformative initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging regions. Joni has held marketing roles at Virgin Unite, ITV BroadReach Group and Orbis International, she has also served as a consultant on the Flying Eye Hospital, and with MasterCard Foundation and Gates Foundation contributing to global impact work.

In 2024, she founded Birdsong Media, a strategic consultancy dedicated to elevating purpose-led organizations through bold storytelling and stakeholder alignment.
